Our March 2021 ELITE STYLE event was the launch of new tinted lip balms to complement our SS21 LOVE HEARTS COLLECTION. We hosted a virtual event on Instagram Live and discussed our beauty tips and the benefits of using lip balms.
Founder and fashion stylist, Gloria Fairhurst, introduced our new tinted lip balms, talked about the benefits of applying lip balm and answered questions from the audience.
Here is Gloria’s list of lip balm benefits that you might find useful:
1. Nourishment
Lip balm should be on everyone’s list of beauty essentials. Whether you need to add moisture, nourishment or protection, the benefits of applying lip balm will have you covered.
2. Supple lips
Most of us are aware that lips tend to look thinner and lines are emphasised when they are dry. Keeping your lips moisturised will maintain your pout plump and soften the lines. Lip balm is key to maintaining youthful lips.
3. Soft hint of colour
Tinted lip balm will offer a slight tint of colour. This is perfect for days when you need a hint of colour without having to applying lipstick. Lip balm is also recommended when wearing a face mask as it will minimise staining the fabric compared to lipstick.
4. Can be used as base
Among the many benefits of using lip balm, applying it underneath lipstick will allow the lipstick to go on as smooth as butter. I recommend you only use a thin layer of lip balm and let it soak in before applying the lipstick.
5. SPF
Sunscreen for lips often comes in the form of lip balm with SPF, which is fantastic because we get moisturising benefits along with sun protection.
6. Other uses
Lip balms are perfect for sports enthusiasts to protect lips from various weather conditions.
I use lip balm each time I go swimming, cycling or skiing.
