Our April 2018 ELITE STYLE event was full of stimuli and a celebration of fashion, as well as an opportunity to network with the community of Winchester.
We were delighted to be involved with the annual Winchester Fashion Week and grand finale Catwalk Show for the eighth time for founder and fashion stylist, Gloria Fairhurst, and the first time for ELITE STYLE LONDON.
This year’s WFW schedule was full of exciting offers, shopping experiences and events hosted by fashion and beauty experts, as well as a film screening of “Dior and I” and the grand finale Catwalk Show.
We truly enjoyed a warm welcome and the opportunity to chat to the fashion experts from Gieves & Hawkes, beauty experts from The Body Shop, local independent retailers Tunix and Rawlings Opticians, as well as as talking to academics and students from Winchester School of Art and the University of Southampton.
We also enjoyed watching the spectacular film “Dior and I” by Frédéric Tcheng, beautifully melding the everyday, pressure-filled components of fashion with an elegant reverence for the history of Dior.
The event also provided Gloria the opportunity to interact with her favourite female fashion models, who she has styled for previous Catwalk Shows, and make new connections with fashion models that she would like to work with in the near future.
The event concluded with the grand finale Catwalk Show, showcasing the latest collections from Gieves & Hawkes, Hobbs, Jigsaw, as well as local treasures, such as Brides of Winchester and Rawlings Opticians.
The next generation of creative talent from Winchester School of Art and the University of Southampton presented a spectacular finale, with exquisite designs and impressive pieces, some of them measuring 2m x 1.8m.
It was a real treat for the eyes!
